For Parents: Kindergarten physical exams should be completed and returned to school as soon as possible. Sign and return health update form from the back of the student handbook. Send only medicines to be given 4 times daily or to be given with meals. Send written instructions for any medicines to be given at school, and send the medicines in the original container marked with the doctor's instructions. Medical release forms must be signed if medications are to be kept at school. Children will be sent home from school with a temperature of 100.0 or higher, diarrhea, or vomiting. Children need to be sympton free without the aid of medication for 24 hours before returning to school. Keep your child home if they have a fever, and until he/she has been free of fever for 24 hours. Children sent home for pink eye should use prescription medicine for 24 hours before they return to school. If your child is likely to soil his/her clothes, an extra change of clothes can be kept in their backpack. If you change phone numbers, contact the school so we can update the health book form. This is in case of an emergency.
