Wynne Junior High School is located in Wynne, Cross County, Arkansas. Wynne is in the Northeastern part of the state. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 69, Wynne, AR 72396 and our phone number is (870) 238-5040. We can be found at 849 East Eldridge. The instructional areas are divided into three major groups consisting of a 6th grade wing, a 7th grade wing, and an 8th grade wing. Additional classes are in the center core of the building, and physical educational classes are located in our gymnasium. The junior high has an average enrollment of 720.

Accreditations and Academics

Wynne Junior High is accredited by the North Central Association of Schools. Aligned with Arkansas Department of Educations state standards, Wynne Junior High's curriculum consists of Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Keyboarding (7th), Career Orientation (8th), and Computer Introduction (8th).

Additional instruction and programs are provided in Special Education, Pre-AP (8th Language Arts and Math), Gifted and Talented, Computer Labs, and Library.

In addition to our team of dedicated teachers, our principal and assistant, we have on staff two full-time counselors, a dean of students, a literacy coach, a math coach, a full-time registered nurse, a speech pathologist, and a parent coordinator.

The Wynne Parent Teacher Student Association called PTSA is very active in the school and community. Wynne Junior High encourages parental involvement through orientation nights, Math and Literacy Night, Lunch and Learn, Breakfast with the Boss, and Career Night. Parents are an important part of the educational process, and we appreciate your support and encourage you to take an active role in your child's education.
