Wynne
Intermediate School is located at 1100 E. Bridges Street in
Wynne, Arkansas. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 69, Wynne,
AR 72396 and our phone number is (870) 238-5060. We can be found
by turning east on Bridges Street from Falls Boulevard (AR Highway
1). Our campus is about three blocks down Bridges on the North
side of the street.
The
Intermediate School services children in grades three, four
and five. Our doors open at 7:30 each morning and our offices
are open until 4:00. Breakfast and lunch are served daily.
Wynne
is the county seat of Cross County in Northeast Arkansas. Wynne
has a population of approximately 9,000.
Wynne
Intermediate School is an accredited school with the North Central
Association.
There
are ten third grade classrooms, ten fourth grade classrooms,
and ten fifth grade classrooms. The Intermediate School has
an average enrollment of around 700 students. Every student
attends weekly classes in music, physical education and art.
Students also go to the library and computer lab weekly. We
also offer Title I literacy and math classes, special education
services, including gifted and talented classes, and an extended
day program for additional assistance for students enrolled
in these programs.
In
addition to our team of dedicated teachers, our principal and
assistant principal, we have on staff two full time counselors,
a full time registered nurse and a speech-language pathologist.
The
parent center for Wynne Public Schools is located in the northwestern
corner of our campus in the parking lot adjacent to the Wynne
Baptist Church. The parent coordinator works with parents and
the Intermediate School to improve communication between home
and school and to help each child achieve success at school.
